30-45 minute plenary session at start of a day to combine improvisation and SF tips and skills to get us into collaborative and creative mode for the conference. A mix of fast-moving a participative activies, with reflection. Lots of energy and fun, too
Paul is a leader in the development of SF ideas in the UK and around the world. As a consultant, coach and facilitator, he draws on his experiences in journalism and comedy production to design and deliver impactful, story-rich events that connect directly to participants’ needs. Clients include P&G, Google, Crossrail, Tate, JLIS and Rolls Royce, and Paul has taught at the London Actors Centre, the CIPD, Aalto and London Business Schools, Cranfield and Ashridge schools of management.
Co-founder and President of the Applied Improvisation Network, he designs and leads projects, workshops and training programmes that transform lives by developing collaborative skills. He is co-author of the ground-breaking book, The Solutions Focus – Making Coaching and Change SIMPLE and the study guide Positively Speaking – the art of constructive conversations with a solutions focus. His other books include Impro Learning, 58½ Ways To Improvise In Training, The Inspirational Trainer and Easy.
Paul has trained more than 1,000 practitioners in the solutions-focused approach; coaches senior executives and police officers; and has been a supervisor for the Brief diploma course. He is director of leading change consultancy The Solutions Focus, a Board member of ASFIO and serves on the SOLworld steering group.
