A look at how the Solution Focused approach is being used in New Zealand within police working with young offenders. This session will include brief case studies and ideas around bringing other staff and professionals on board with the Solution Focused approach.A Youth worker trained in social work, solution focused coaching and therapy. Working in a community setting within a NGO focusing on working with high risk risk youths and families through innovative and sustainable programmes.

Registered psychologist since 1996. First learned about the Solution Focused approach in 2010 and have been a passionate advocate ever since. Currently employed by New Zealand Police, and have previously worked in mental health, education, and suicide postvention. Suicide intervention remains a key area of interest for me.
