Talk: Pistols at Dawn – or is it the Holy Grail of Continuous Improvement?

Combining the seemingly opposite approaches in Solution Focus and Lean Six Sigma can add value to both in the field of operational excellence and continuous improvement. When you add in the project management framework of Agile and its rapid iteration cycle, you enable people to interact, collaborate and cooperate in an approach to business excellence that simply works better.

The difference in the SixSF framework is its ability to engage people in all roles and at all levels who can contribute to both transformational change and continuous improvement. Best of all, each and every person can learn the skills and tools to use SixSF every day, from the boardroom to the broom cupboard, taking ownership at a level appropriate to them and in line with business aims. Imagine that.

In a world where we hear a lot about failed transformation programs, discover how we are helping to turn every employee into an Agent for Change.

Sue Lickorish
I help leaders to activate real energy, capability and passion in their teams so they can deliver great results. I create full-immersion events for people to engage in processes of change and innovation; maximising the resources available in the room and generating high emotional engagement and strong commitment. In this rapidly changing world, we need people to be creative, agile, responsive, flexible and improvisational. And they need to be able to find their own good reasons to be so.

A voracious learner with a blue-chip corporate background in human resources and training, I specialise in solution-focused (SF) change, employee engagement, team coaching, creativity and innovation. I train people to use SF and SixSF in their work and use applied improvisation to build confidence and responsiveness.

I have trained, coached and facilitated clients as diverse as Skanska, Compass Group, The Open University, Royal Mail, T-Mobile, Orange, The Heritage Lottery Fund, The Children’s Society, NHS Trusts, the Office for National Statistics and the Royal Air Force

Chris Bond
I am an accredited Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean business analyst, process and performance improvement specialist with more than 13 years experience in both public and private sectors. I have an extensive track record of developing and implementing improvements with positive effects on cost, productivity and customer experience in both front and back office areas such as Finance and Accounting, HR, Payroll, Customer Services, Contact Centres and Adult Social Care.

People say my ability to challenge accepted norms and cut through complex processes to design clear, elegant and imaginative solutions is my best attribute. Personally I just like to understand how anything works and more than that enjoy making things work better.

My willingness to innovate, and constant desire for improvement, has led me to look for a better way to do business change and my involvement in SixSF. Better business change.
